The Whiskey Sessions started when three old (by this point) musicians met to get reacquianted and drink som whiskey. The whole think quickly turned into a recurring even about booze, music, and on-the-spot creativity. We get together, pop the cork, and get cracking on writing a song. The goal is to compose, write lyrics, perform and record an entire song in a single evening, preferably before the neighbors start banging on the wall or the audio interface burns up.

We often mix and master when we've had a chance to sober up, but we are proud to challenge ourselves to achieve all of this in a short period of time. And it's a lot of fun too......

See below for music, lyrics and photos from each time The Whiskey Sessions have met, in reverse chronological order. Click on a title to see more information about that specific song, and please leave a comment. We hope you appreciate our music!

-lyrics

		early morning 2007
Henrik, Knut and Thomas be da Norwegian (come again now)
fantasize about da ultimate chillout wear
dat would be perfect for dam lazy dayz at home

why not just sew together a hooded sweatshirt
		and a pair of sweatpants
make it so big that no one in their right mind
		would think of working out

One Life, One Love, One Piece

		One Piece jump in Jamaica
One Piece jump in da Norway
		One Piece jump in Jamaica
One Piece jump in da Norway

		three friends dropped everyting
		invest all da savings
dey made da loose fitting all in one
hooded sweatshirt in soft thick fleecy cotton

some bloggers wrote about how much they love the One Piece yeah!
which triggered odda bloggers to rant about da ting
Kate Moss, Paris Hilton, David Beckham
Jude Law and Sadie Frost are just some of the
		celebrities own da jumpsuit now
celebrities own da jumpsuit (jump in!)
celebrities own da jumpsuit (come again now jumpsuit!)
		celebrities naked in jumpsuit (yeah!)

One Life, One Love, One Piece

we were as surprised as anyone
when people started wearing the One Piece at clubs
		and it became a fashion
even as the One Piece wave hits country after country
		gaining a foot hold Knut!

Thomas and Henrik are busy developing new ideas and concepts
		washing instruction!
		washing instruction! (there's an iron)
washing instruction! (look at the tumbler!)
		washing instruction! (thirty thirty grees!)

it is important that you close the zipper
before you wash your One Piece!

One Life, One Love, One Piece

do not rob banks using your One Piece, jump in!

After all the talk about whether or not one should own a One Piece or not we decided it was time to make a song about them. Three of us already owned them, and Adam got creative. With a super relaxed vibe in place we naturally got into a kind of summer / reggae mood. The lyrics are basically verbatim from the washing instructions that are sewn into One Piece jumpsuits...

Robban filmed everything so we could make a video, but that failed because he used a completely unmanageable resolution so the files were way too big...

(2012-03-29, 17:57) Robban... sa: Nja...största problemet är inte upplösningen. Det går att koda om. Det är värre att alla bilder är otroligt skakiga då golvet sviktar när man hoppar...
